I’m afraid of my wholesome cowboy-style freedom turning into hermetic, lonesome solitude, that my attachment to the open plain and my fictional horse would in time surpass my ability to connect with people, and so on.
You can be attached to the open plain all you want, but eventually you’ll need to go into town for supplies. Interact with all the townsfolk, and give ‘em a couple of yarns about your adventures. And… I think this metaphor has gone about as far as she’s gonna go.
