On the way there!

Yay! We’re in Ireland and this is what it looks like from an in-motion car.

Whoops! Accident in front of Ballyorne Farms.

ireland5.jpgireland11.jpgireland6.jpgireland7.jpgireland8.jpgireland9.jpgThese guys lived on the farm! My first Irish pals!

To make up for lost time we had to drive straight to that night’s destination. It was sort of a long drive and we were tired and bored.

Around the hotel in Cobh (Cove).

No more waiting! Let’s spend the day at Blarney Castle! There was a neat Druidic area with massive trees, stones, sacrificial alters and such, but my camera’s battery died after only one picture of the “Rock Close.”

ireland30.jpgireland31.jpgireland32.jpgireland33.jpgireland34.jpgireland35.jpgireland36.jpgireland37.jpgireland38.jpgand then he killed me.ireland40.jpgI am too big for castles.ireland42.jpgireland43.jpgireland44.jpgireland45.jpgireland46.jpgireland47.jpgireland48.jpgireland49.jpgireland50.jpgI only eskimo kissed it! But I lowered myself as low as he’d let me!ireland52.jpgireland53.jpgireland54.jpgireland55.jpgireland56.jpgireland57.jpgireland58.jpgireland59.jpgireland60.jpgireland61.jpgireland62.jpg

We rode a coach around the Ring of Kerry. It was very pretty, but gosh there was a lot of driving. AGAIN.

Cute, but executed inconsistently and frustratingly. As far as I can tell leashes don’t exist in Ireland.ireland84.jpgireland85.jpgireland86.jpgCousin Conrad being epicireland88.jpgThere were these little Mary alters scattered around everywhere we went, thought I should show a sample.ireland90.jpgAnother picture taken through the window of a moving vehicle. This is becoming a stupid theme. On the bridge over the Sneem River–look you can see it!Sneem River–so pretty!

And then we parted with the family for two days in The Burren, where they have lots of caves and cliffs and rocks. http://www.doolincave.ie/

Another river (this one’s in Doolin)Us over that same river.Irish cats! (They’re smaller than big-land cats!)ireland98.jpgI didn’t get a chance to take pictures of all the funny caution signs, so please look at the top row of this elarged.random castle–these were littered across the countrysideAbove the Doolin cave! The original entry site where two dudes crawled in in the ’50sThe world’s second largest stalactite! BADASS.Dramatic!ireland105.jpgIts stalagmite, fallen and gross. This is a picture of a reflection of the stalactite that Ian took and is very proud of.ireland108.jpgireland109.jpgAH!These are the marks from the machine they used to painstakingly tunnel out the place without any dynamite. That’s our guide, Steven! He was like 17 years old. His aunt and uncle own the cave and are deeply in debt! Go see the Doolin Cave! Was that a good cave tour, Ian? “Yes, now it is very bright outside!”Rocks were thrown around The Burren by glaciers after they all melted after the ice age!mooYou see? Another dang castle laying around.

Are you ready for the Cliffs of Moher and dolphins!? My battery died before I had a chance to photograph the puffins, but they were rad too.

ireland118.jpgireland117.jpgWe’re on the water now!ireland120.jpgireland121.jpgireland123.jpgireland124.jpgireland125.jpgireland126.jpgWe were in the tip of the bow so they were only like 4 feet away! One person cares or is very bored to “Ireland”

  1. Jerome Smith Says:

    Hello Tara,

I was looking though “my paper-work” that I have saved for over two years, and I found out that I luckily “saved” your Website Address; in regards to Barrel of Apples. Hmmm; that’s right, I remember… *smirk* You are a VEGAN, so you must really love apples; hunh? I would not say that I love them; however, I do use them, and I just wish that I could eat from this one particular tree; in Oklahoma again. Oh I do remember the unique flavor, and now it is just a memory… *sigh*

However; I would like to make a comment about your Website. Whoever was taking the photographs; knew what they were doing. And it makes me feel that I was really there. Hey! I have my money… *nodding head w/ raised eyebrows & smiling* Maybe I should check Ireland out, and I have a question. How much should I invest? Meaning; how much did it cost you? In other words: If the trip can amount to; let’s say – $1,500 (including food, hell I can sleep outside), then I am game!

In closing; I do miss you at the Front Desk of The Josephinum, and hmmm… I think I need to invest in a Terabyte Computer Hard-Drive, which your husband should know what they are. (We talked about this before.) E-hem! I mean – TARA-Byte! (that’s how it really sounds) *laughing & giggling* (It is a Data Storage Device, that can hold up-to one TRILLION keystrokes) But just for fun; I calculated the amount of time it would take you (Tara) to TYPE as fast as you do, in order to fill a Tara – I mean: a terabyte disk. Hmmm…

    6,000 (six THOUSAND) – Y.E.A.R.S… NON-STOP w/ NO BREAKS EVER!!!
Music?… Oh! That would take almost two years… again – NON-STOP…
Movies?… Seven months straight… *wink* Amazing isn’t it?

Okay I shall let y’all go, why? Because I am TIRED of PROOFREADING, and I am NOT a fast typist like you.
Other than that; peace on your blessed jouneys!
