Kayla went through a phase where she liked to illustrate and write her own versions of famous fairy tales (1999 through 2000) and these are some prime examples of that period.

Kayla drew this portrait for me when I flew down to Reno for a visit (2002) and she was at school when I landed.

Kayla made Ian and me collages last Christmas (2005). Mine makes sense (the round spotted object is a cookie) but I’m not sure why his has a hair band taped onto it.

This is from a session of exchanged prompts a few years ago with Ian, but I don’t know what happened to all the others. I know there was one where Stickman was at a cocktail party? And something with a catcus? This was supposed to be “a unicorn, a robot, and a princess in a meadow.”

I drew this while over at Heather and Tom’s apartment some time in 2006. Ian is obviously the hairry strapping fellow, Mike is looking uncomfortable on the purple chair, and that’s the back of Meredith’s head.
